NeoLoad is taking too long to check VU or start a test

Hi,

When I start validating of script in NeoLoad (flex/flash action messages), it is taking too long (at least 7 minutes) to start the validation process, the same thing is happening when I start a test from Runtime section of the neoload. I am not sure why NeoLoad is taking this much time to initialize the test. I have around 40 SQL variables in my project. Is it an issue? Is there way to stop SQL fetch as required.

Hi,

the 40 SQL requests is very probably the cause. A feature request has been identified (not yet planned) to control when refreshes are done to retreive the data. Meanwhile, you can use an external tool to generate CSV files from the database and use the CSV files in NeoLoad for the query that don't change often, and keep only very dynamic data as SQL requests in NeoLoad.

is it possible to provide a patch to control this SQL fetch?. My client requires it very urgent.

This is a non-trivial change that cannot be handled quickly. Is there an issue for the workaround ? For example, if using SQL Server you may use SQL Management Studio to export data in CSV.

What is the current status on this request ?
I have a similar issue.
I have 6 SQL variables - it takes 8-10 mins on a machine with 8GB ram and 1/2 RAM Fraction allocated to LG.

If the refresh happens when the user needs - it will be a very useful feature
